Helping Hands: find and keep volunteers
Tue 24 October at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Led by Monica Davidson from CreativePlusBusiness, the workshop is tailored specifically volunteer based groups and not-for-profits in the arts and museums sector, volunteer led events, or those who rely on volunteers in what they do.
The free workshop is part of the NSW Government’s official Small Business Month, supported by regional arts development organisation Arts OutWest.
Recruiting and retaining volunteers is critically important for small arts and cultural organisations, but it can also be difficult for under-resourced groups without the capacity for a recruitment strategy.
This HELPING HANDS workshop focuses on finding creative and realistic ways of recruiting and retaining volunteers while also working with the issues of limited capacity and resources, time and money.
Monica Davidson is an award-winning expert on the creative industries. She’s a creative trailblazer who advocates, mentors, donates, educates and advises within Australia’s creative economy. Monica continues to work as a writer, filmmaker and occasional performer.
The What’s On calendar covers arts and heritage events happening across the NSW Central West in the local government areas of Bathurst Region, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western Region, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin.
