FESTIVAL OF BELLS

Fri 28 April - Sat 29 April

Bathurst has a world-class Carillon, one of three Carillons in Australia and the only one in the whole of regional and rural Australia.

This bi-annual inclusive, accessible Festival will address the commemorative nature of the Carillon as a War memorial through a moving Last Post Ceremony on Friday evening, followed by one day of entertainment and celebration.

This event will feature carillonists and bellringers from around the country, together with the absolute best local adult and school bands, choirs, and ensembles.

The 2023 Festival is honoured to present the World Premiere of a newly commissioned work by Australian carillonist Thomas Laue combining the Carillon bells and All Saints’ Cathedral pealing bells.

Experience the unique sounds of bells, bands, and musical ensembles.

Seating is provided by the Festival organisers, BYO picnic rugs and chairs are welcomed.
