Exhibition: ‘The Wattle Room Chapter 11 oysters and buttered bread’
Sat 3 February - Tue 2 April
Genevieve Carroll lives in Hill End, NSW, surrounded by the Australian bush. In this remote environment she imagines inner worlds that traverse the ranges of her life.
The Wattle Room Chapter 11 oysters and buttered bread is the next iteration of her diaristic notations on life. Working across textiles, sculpture, painting, and poetry, she is drawn to absurdity to find humour in the fluctuations of life.
Join Genevieve Carroll for an artist talk at the Gallery at 5:30pm on Friday 2 February 2024.
The opening will be at 6pm, Friday 2 February 2024, by Peter Haynes, curator, arts writer and art historian.
The What’s On calendar covers arts and heritage events happening across the NSW Central West in the local government areas of Bathurst Region, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western Region, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin.
