Exhibition: ‘A Maker’s Collection’

Fri 26 January - Sun 10 March

Drawn from the collection of ceramicist Greg Daly, A Maker’s Collection is a rich display of ceramics collected throughout Daly’s life, beginning in 1972 at the age of 18 with a platter by HR Hughan.

A select display from his vast collection the works span centuries, from 12th century Sung ceramics, 18th century French lustre work to contemporary ceramics from Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Europe, United States of America, and New Zealand.

As an artist collecting from other artists his collection includes varying approaches to the medium; from playing with function, exploring surface to the decorative.

Opening will be 6pm, Friday 2 February 2024 by Peter Haynes, curator, arts writer and art historian.
