Tue 18 May at 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us for a drink, see our brand new exhibition ‘Out of this World: Australia in the space age’ and hear all about the past, present and future of space exploration with Canberra based Astrophysicist and Cosmologist, Dr Brad Tucker. Find out more about the exciting educational opportunities on offer this term.

Out this world: Australia in the space age

From the Moon landing, to the mapping of events in space, Australia has been at the forefront of space research and exploration. Space lasers, reusable rockets, and space mining. They all may sound like science fiction but they are closer to reality than you may think. We’ll cover the latest in space technology and advancements, and look at things like humans returning to the Moon and moving to Mars.

A national touring exhibition developed and presented by the National Archives of Australia. Exhibition partner: State Library of South Australia. Exhibition supporters: Australian Government National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach Program and Visions of Australia.

Spaces are limited. If you cannot attend please cancel via Eventbrite, so that your spot can be offered to those on the waitlist.

Bookings are essential. If you have any questions, contact us via email at or phone us on 02 6393 8444.
