Chris Callaghan is a singer, songwriter and entertainer, with an extensive and successful history in the Australian music scene. He has a large catalogue of over 100 original songs and has performed to a wide range of audiences, both nationally and internationally.
By popular demand his new show ‘CC’s Got The Blues’ contains elements of Chris Callaghan, The Modern Day Troubadour, as well as the best of his Troubadours & Outlaws Show. The new show features his own brand of original country music together with his own take on the hit songs by legendary outlaws Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson aka The Highwaymen, along with Merle Haggard, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Brandi Carlisle.
This blend of influences enhances Callaghan’s distinctly Australian writing and performance style which has enabled him to build a strong and loyal following that connects with people in a way that ensures his performances are always highly entertaining and popular. This has been pivotal in establishing Chris’s place as a well known entertainer in the music industry.
Returning to his home town of Oberon, Chris will play at the sixth Malachi Night, a series of great live Country artists playing their best loved music in the newly refurbished Malachi Gilmore Hall. Also playing to his home town is support act, singer/guitarist Malcom Voerman. Come catch the magic of live music.
