Catherine O’Donnell: Beyond the Shadow Book Launch and Panel Discussion

Fri 16 September at 6:00 pm

Join artist Catherine O’Donnell and Geoff Ashley, Built Heritage Specialist together in conversation with Curator Lucy Stranger. The panel will discuss the ways in which Beyond the Shadow deconstructs and humanises mid-century low-income public housing. The panel will also explore the social complexity of the fibro house within Australian history and culture.

We will also be celebrating the launch of the exhibition publication which features essays by Lucy Stranger and Geoff Ashley and a foreword by Dr Niomi Sands, Director, Grafton Regional Gallery and Bradley Hammond, Director, Orange Regional Gallery. The publication has been generously supported by the Gordon Darling Foundation and will be available for purchase at the event.
