Bespoke & Co – Ways of Watercolour
Sun 21 March at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

In this workshop Julia will guide you through several ways to apply watercolours. You will learn some foundational techniques such as how to:
apply an even wash, graduated wash & variegated wash,
lifting paint to establish light,
salt application,
waterspray,
wet on wet
wet on dry and dry brush.
You will then create a small monochrome landscape painting using your learnt techniques. The art theory being discussed will include the power of chroma to influence the atmosphere in an artwork (chroma encompasses hue, saturation and value), the use of line, shape and composition. We will have time to play and experiment to gain further confidence in using the techniques.
Included in the workshop: all high quality materials and tuition, a nourishing spread of refreshments and a tube of professional-grade watercolour paint to take home.
