Beginner and Enthusiast Photography Workshop – Orange, NSW

This workshop is perfect for any beginner or enthusiast photographer wanting to learn more about their camera, gain a deeper understanding of camera controls and how to compose images. It will help you gain confidence when using your camera and its settings. I will outline how to take images of family and friends, pets, landscape and travel photography.

Overview

  • The Orange Botanic Gardens will provide diverse scenery to inspire you
  • The 2-hour workshop is designed for small groups of up to six people in a relaxed environment

What is Covered?

  • Understanding the different camera modes – Auto, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual
  • Understanding the exposure triangle; ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture
  • Using shutter speed to control motion
  • Using Aperture to control depth of field
  • Basic composition
  • Framing your images

What Will I Need?

  • DSLR or Mirrorless camera
  • Fully charged battery
  • You may want to bring a small notebook if that helps you learn

Recommended

  • Participants should have a basic knowledge on how to use their camera and how to change camera settings

What can I expect during a photography session?

During the session, my goal is to create a relaxed and enjoyable experience. I’ll guide you through camera settings and compositional aspects required to create great images.

Who is this photography workshop for?

For participants with a DSLR/Mirrorless Camera. This is not suitable for compact ‘point and shoot’ cameras or smartphones.
