Bathurst Railway 145th Anniversary

Sat 3 April - Sun 4 April

Re-live the halcyon days of country passenger trains in a 1960s Vintage Rail Motor and celebrate the 145th anniversary of the opening of the Main Western Line.

Activities will be held at Bathurst Rail Museum and Bathurst Railway Station on April 3 and 4 with opportunities to take a vintage journey between Bathurst and Sydney or Lithgow, a short shuttle journey to Newbridge and back or ride the Tarana brunch train.

The museum will have the regular displays as well as a free Thomas the Tank Engine themed jumping castle.

There will also be a vintage rail motor train running from Bathurst Railway Station with local shuttles and longer trips providing connections for a day return visit from Sydney.

A series of long, medium and short trips have been timetabled and train tickets include Bathurst Rail Museum entry:
