Artz Piknik

Sun 25 February at 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

FREE - Donations encouraged

Wouldn’t you like to hang out in a place where someone is playing guitar by the creek while a sculptor gives something form, a trio of poets are waxing verse by the bridge, the kids are playing on the slippery-dip, your mates are chilling with a coffee on the grass and a painter is smearing it all on a canvas; the photographer is shooting the painter, gets distracted by the band jam in the hall (who sound like rubbish for a second because they are watching the video projected on the wall) and the open mic comedian is just taking the absolute micky out of the lot of them?

Well – you can’t!

That is, unless all you musos, sculptors, poets, players, caffeine connoisseurs, painters, photographers, herbalists, videographers, jammers, philosophers, dancers, laugh magicians, jugglers, potters, yogis, chefs, farmers, tarot readers, blacksmiths, writers and lovers of the lot come along!

The Artz Piknik is to be a monthly event for artists of the near and far. Come along as a consumer of the good times or bring what you got for others to enjoy. You can even perform or run a little group or sell your wares as a participant. The whole thing is FREE!

Although, Jim-Bob does pay for the venue hire, so it would be appreciated if you can chuck some money in the hat so it can happen a second, third and 50th time. Punters are encouraged to support participants the same way as one would a busker (so bring your piggy bank – if you haven’t got one, someone might be selling one).

Grab your picnic blankets, hammocks and chairs, pack a lunch, come along to the Artz Piknik and make some stuff happen!
