Artist-led Workshop: Japanese Calligraphy with Iku

Sat 18 March at 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Immerse yourself in a full day Japanese Calligraphy workshop with artist, Iku.

Join Iku for a tour of her exhibition Invisible Connection followed by an introduction to the beautiful art of Japanese brush calligraphy. Participants will learn about the history of brush calligraphy in Japan and be guided by Iku through the process of painting pictographic characters with an ink-soaked brush and focused mind.

This workshop is designed for adults and motivated young people of all skill levels.

Ticket price includes all materials and afternoon tea (participants provide their own lunch).

Please note that sumi ink permanently stains fabric. Please bring along an apron or overshirt and wear old clothing.
