There will also be some engraved shapes which can be painted in the colour of your choice. You will be instructed on how to assemble your earrings with various jewellery components.
This workshop is for people of all skill levels who would like to learn how to work with laser cut pieces. We are Ellen (the mum) and Jess (the daughter). In 2015, we made a big decision to pack up our homes and move to a 200 acre farm together with our hubbies and family. At the time, Jess was 8 months pregnant with her second daughter. As a passionate Aussie and nature lover, she found it extremely frustrating to see most baby clothes made in China and adorned with foxes, deer and rabbits, which are all pests in our country. And why? When the animals we have here are about 1000 times cuter?
That was the moment we decided to combine our creative skills and design our own range of Australian made baby clothing. We gathered together all of our favourite Aussie icons, and our Little Aussies collection was born.
It started with a few metres of digitally printed cotton fabric and a sewing machine at the dining table. Ellen with her many years of sewing experience (she actually made all of her own clothing as a teen and even her own wedding dress) taught Jess how to sew and after we made our first romper there was no looking back.
As women with insatiable creative appetites, we have grown into something much larger than this today. We have a team of talented Australian women to help bring our business to life, we have a range of hand printed homewares and laser cut earrings all created right here in our studio, and we also run workshops to share our creative skills with the world.
When we’re not being busy mums, or in the studio designing, making or packaging up your orders, we’re usually out on the farm spending quality time with our miniature galloway cows. These girls are our pride and joy and they feature regularly on our Instagram page!
