A QUIET YEAR

Sat 10 September at 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Exhibition Opening: WAYOUT ARTSPACE
Artists: Jack Banduch, Gabrielle Chantiri, Lily Golightly, Kazu Quill, Flin Sharp, Amelia Skelton, Francesca Zak and Eleanor Zurowski.
We have come together via-via, by way of acquaintance – as dear friends, friends of friends and strangers. Our coming together is not a given, nor is our self-professed familiarity with one another, rather A Quiet Year acknowledges our entanglement, and the actions that continue to make it so. Broadly concerned with the collective efforts of world building, each work in the show has emerged from new collaborations with one another. Part role-playing game, part cartographic poetry, A Quiet Year takes its title from a tabletop game of the same name, where players work together to map the struggles, abundance and scarcity of a community after a disaster.
