A City for Kids, SPARKE Project

Sat 25 June - Sun 14 August

This joyful art-making and environmental education project was developed with our friends @orangeregionalmuseum and hundreds of school children and their teachers through the SPARKE network of local public primary schools.

Now in its third year, our annual SPARKE project invites local primary school students to participate in the cultural life of their city though the creation of a large-scale collaborative art installation and associated learning programs.

This year we asked children to imagine what a city for kids would be like, and then to create it using recycled materials and their wildest imaginations. They didn’t disappoint!

‘A City for Kids’ will continue until 14 August in our Mary Turner Gallery upstairs.
