Welcome to our BIG list of arts and cultural events happening in the NSW Central West gathered from artists, event producers, great local venues and groups across the region.
This is a busy artistic region. There’s usually more than 2000 arts and heritage events happeing in the region each year. Of course, 2020 looks a little different but the events are slowly returning where possible.
NEW: HAPPENING ONLINE. We’ve added a new category for workshops, exhibitions, virutal tours and activities that are now happening ONLINE. Click here for the listings

TURN: Bathurst Winter Festival 2020
Sat July 4 - Sun July 19Free
Turn is a digital animation featuring bold symbols in a set of looping animations including a water droplet and ripples, two figures hand in hand, a moon/sun rise, an allseeing eye and a tear. The symbols convey a message of healing, strength and acceptance.
“More than just a light projection, Turn is a specially commissioned artwork by two of the region’s most successful designers, Sonny Day and Biddy Maroney,” says BRAG Director Sarah Gurich. “This beautiful animation is a poignant message of humanity, hope, and resilience.”
Turn is one of seven illuminations for the 2020 Bathurst Winter Festival and will be projected in the BRAG/Bathurst Library Forecourt, visible along Keppel Street from Machattie Park, from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 19 July from Sunset til 10pm each night.
The other illuminations produced by ESEM projects as part of the 2020 Bathurst Winter Festival can be seen at the Court House, 84 George Street, 173 George Street, 99 Keppel Street and 11 Keppel Street (Doppio).
