Jock Alexander Watercolour Workshop
Wed 2 December 2020, at 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In this workshop participants will be guided through watercolour brushwork exercises from calligraphic drawing to a smooth gradation. The workshop will cover:
- the watercolour brush: how to use and care for it, a good brush is a versatile, wonderfully expressive tool
- laying down a smooth wash: what is it, and how to use it
- painting a gradation: a gradual transition from one tone or colour to another
All materials supplied. Strictly limited capacity. Full refund up to 24 hours before start of workshop for cancellations.

About Jock Alexander:
In 1983, Alexander graduated from the National Art School, Sydney, with a Bachelor of Visual Art, and for 25 years he supported his painting, music and filmmaking practices by creating illustrations and political cartoons for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian newspapers. He works en plein air and in the studio, using both traditional European media and locally sourced material, including raw earths and eucalypt and wattle.
