Welcome to our BIG list of arts and cultural events happening in the NSW Central West gathered from artists, event producers, great local venues and groups across the region.

This is a busy artistic region. There’s usually more than 2000 arts and heritage events happeing in the region each year. Of course, 2020 looks a little different but the events are slowly returning where possible.

NEW: HAPPENING ONLINE. We’ve added a new category for workshops, exhibitions, virutal tours and activities that are now happening ONLINE. Click here for the listings

LIVEattheGALLERY – Hot Club de Katoomba

Sun August 9 at 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Australian violinist Simon Watts and French singer/guitarist Julien Clément team up for an evening of classic French chansons and an assortment of Hot Club swing jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.

Simon picked up the violin at the age of seven and has never stopped playing. After a classical training Simon was restless to explore other styles of music from the music of his Irish ancestry to jazz swings & steamy tangos and his main aim, when playing, is to bring pleasure to his audience and leave them wanting more.

Julien is a singer/songwriter & guitarist known for his many projects covering a wide style of music (indie pop, disco, funk, ska…). For the Hot Club de Katoomba, he goes back to his French roots, keen to communicate the passion, drama and humour of French classic songs from the 30s and onwards.
