CHINESE CEMETERY TOUR

Join Juanita Kwok on a cemetery wander and visit the graves of Chinese residents of Bathurst. When Ruby Chew Ming died in 1941, the National Advocate reported her death as the “Death of Bathurst’s Only Woman Chinese.” Hear Ruby’s story and others. This tour is being held during “Ching Ming”, the traditional time at which Chinese families visit the graves of their ancestors to pay their respects. Bring a hat, water and walking shoes. Some uneven ground, about one kilometre walk in total. All proceeds to the Bathurst Family History Group.
