Bill Moseley: A Lake, a Forest and the Dark Voice of the Sea

Sat 14 December 2019, - Sun 26 January 2020,

Bill Moseley combines video with the lyric mysticism of wet plate collodion photography in this exhibition of recent works.

Research video and still imagery will be taken from the historic brigantine ‘Soren Larsen’ on a voyage from Hobart to Sydney, then combined with wet plate collodion collage to present a darkly romantic narrative that loops past and present into an intriguing portrayal of our emotional relationship with the natural world.

The sea, the lake and the forest, as metaphor, share an ontological opacity. This project considers the implications and significance of the sensate world.
