Bach in the Dark ONLINE

Fri April 3 at 7:00 pm

I’m trying an experiment. I’m trying a live-streaming concert. If this works, I’ll do more with my fellow artists – but for the first one, if anything goes pear-shaped, it’ll just be me affected. I’d love for you to join me as Bach in the Dark goes on-line! I’ll be playing Bach’s first solo cello suite on Friday April 3 at 7pm.

Here’s what you need to do. Go to Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/bach-in-the-dark-solo-cello-live-streaming-tickets-101250376602) and register for this free event. Two hours before the concert (5pm, Sydney time) you’ll be sent a youtube link that you need to click on before 7pm. When you click on it, you’ll see my back room with the Bach in the Dark sign on it. You’ve arrived! Pour yourself a glass of wine.

Someone will probably walk past and say hello at some point beforehand. The best listening experience will be to listen through speakers, or headphones – but I’m happy for you to listen in any way you want to. (Bear in mind that this isn’t broadcast quality – this is just me in my back room, so there may be some glitches. But we’ll do our best!)

At 7pm, or shortly thereafter, I should appear (if all goes to plan). And then I’ll play for you as beautifully as I can. Have another glass of wine. Sit and be in the moment. Hopefully you can forget all the craziness, just for a short time.
