Round 1 closes Wednesday 18 August 2021. Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program provides funding opportunities for arts and cultural organisations, professional artists and arts/cultural workers across a wide range of artforms and disciplines.

Open Programs
Individuals

Small Project Grants (Quick Response) support the creation, development and presentation of new work and professional development opportunities for NSW-based professional artists and arts and cultural workers. This quick response grant offers grants from $500 to $5,000 towards projects.

The SoundLab Residency Program provides an opportunity for up to four NSW-based musicians or groups of artists to make music and sound in a high-end technical space designed for critical listening, and the exploration of technology and sound. Successful artists will receive $2,500 in funding support from Create NSW and the use of Arup’s SoundLab for 2-4 weeks.

Project funding supports innovation, vibrancy and creativity within the NSW arts and cultural sector. Funding is available up to $60,000 towards a range of arts and cultural activities such as new project development and/or presentation, research, professional development, community and audience engagements. Project funding supports innovation, vibrancy and creativity within the NSW arts and cultural sector.  It aims to deliver a dynamic and diverse range of arts and cultural experiences to communities across NSW, contribute to the development of a vibrant and accessible arts and cultural sector, and support the employment and development of professional NSW-based artists and arts/cultural workers.

Creative Koori Project funding aims to build support for a strong, resilient and exciting Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW. Funding is available up to $60,000 towards arts and cultural activities for NSW Aboriginal artists and arts and cultural workers.

Organisations

Annual Organisation funding is provided on an annual basis to support arts and cultural organisations (including service organisations) to deliver multiple arts and cultural activities to diverse audiences throughout a single calendar or financial year.

Funding is available for a wide range of arts and cultural activities, including but not limited to:

  • creation of new arts and cultural work, practice-based research or experimentation, and professional
    development
  • production, exhibition, presenting, publishing or recording, touring and festivals
  • promotion and marketing
  • audience growth and development
  • conservation and/or development of collections and archives (including Aboriginal Keeping Places)
  • business development activities including new responses to environmental changes
  • partnerships, capacity building and sustainability.

Creative Koori Project funding aims to build support for a strong, resilient and exciting Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW. Funding is available for $60,000 and above which supports arts and cultural activities for NSW Aboriginal organisations.
