Create NSW: Arts and Cultural Funding Program applications

Round 2 of the program will further accelerate the recovery and support of the arts and cultural landscape in NSW following a successful Round 1 of funding announced in November, which delivered $9.37 million to 198 outstanding projects and programs.

Across December 2021 and January 2022, Create NSW will be running a series of webinars to assist with the application process, including firsthand advice and guidance from previous successful applicants and Artform Board members. Applications for Round 2 of the Arts and Cultural Funding Program are now open and close at 5pm on Monday, 31 January 2022. For more information, guidelines and to apply, click here.

Individuals

Small Project Grants (Quick Response) support the creation, development and presentation of new work and professional development opportunities for NSW-based professional artists and arts and cultural workers. This quick response grant offers grants from $500 to $5,000 towards projects.

The Small Projects Grant will have extended announcement periods during the end of year holiday period. 

Applications submitted after the 29 November 2021 will be notified on or around Wednesday 2 February 2022. If you are successful you can request a Variation form from Create NSW to adjust your project dates if needed.

Funding is available up to $60,000 towards a range of arts and cultural activities such as new project development and/or presentation, research, professional development, community and audience engagements.

Organisations

Local Government Authority Arts & Cultural Projects Funding supports Local Government arts and cultural projects that are essential to a contemporary, innovative and strong arts and cultural ecology in NSW.

Project funding supports innovation, vibrancy and creativity within the NSW arts and cultural sector. Funding is available up to $60,000 towards a range of arts and cultural activities such as project development and/or presentation, partnerships building, community and audience engagements.

Annual Organisation funding is provided on an annual basis to support arts and cultural organisations (including service organisations) to deliver multiple arts and cultural activities to diverse audiences throughout a single calendar or financial year.

Individuals and organisations

Creative Koori Project funding aims to build support for a strong, resilient and exciting Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW. Funding is available for $60,000 and above which supports arts and cultural activities for NSW Aboriginal organisations.
