Entries close Friday 16 October 2026 at 5pm AEST.
Entries are now open for RDA Central West’s 2026 Central West Is Best Photo Competition.
This year’s theme is Central West Stories. We are asking photographers to look beyond the view and capture what makes a place matter, our towns, streets, landscapes, people, events and everyday moments. It is open to all residents across the Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin LGAs.
There are two categories, Junior (under 18) and Open, with a total prize pool of $1,500. Entrants can submit up to four photos, along with a sentence or two on how they reflect the theme. Entry is free and open to all ages and levels of experience.
