Cate McCarthy’s 2025 artist residency at The Squatter’s Residency, The Foundations, Portland has seen her focusing on her arts practice creating drawings, paintings and sculptures. Cate says she “loved the industrial nature of the site, being part of the Foundations with all the people there” and really enjoyed the time on her own too.
This week Cate is also working with Cath McNamara on Arts OutWest’s pilot Arts and Aged Care program Stray. Read more about Stray on the Arts OutWest website.
From 2025 Arts OutWest is working with The Foundations and The Portland Collective (Harrie Fasher Studios, The Portland Foundry and The Portland Workshops) to facilitate this Artist in Residence Program.
