Orange area: Calling all musicians, venues and live music fans

orange music

NOW CLOSED. Application close 26 August.  Be a part of Live and Local. Including professional development workshops, a micro music festival and a local industry forum.

Orange City Council is hosting “Live and Local” in the next couple of months. Backed by the NSW Live Music Office, this capacity-building program will deliver professional development workshops, a micro music festival and a local industry forum. As part of the program, Council will establish the Orange Music Database of musicians and venues as an ongoing resource to assist the Orange community in future programming of live music. We’re seeking expressions of interest from local musicians and businesses who would like to be included in the database and be part of the Orange City Council Live and Local Program.

At this stage we’re proposing these key events/dates:

Live and Local Industry Forum 31 August 2022 (to be held at Council Chambers)

Industry workshops – Week commencing 5 September 2022.

Micro Festival – weekend of 23 to 25 September.

More info on each of the above will be provided soon.

As the first step, the forum is open to all those connected with live music – venues, artists, event producers, audiences, teachers, students, licensing and compliance, hospitality, marketing/advertisers/promoters, radio, local media etc. This Forum will be hosted by Council and facilitated by the NSW Live Music Office.

To register your interest, please fill out the form at this link.
