Call for presenters for the Dhuluny Conference

dhuluny

at CSU August 14-16. 200 Years of Wiradjuri Resistance. Your invitation to participate as a presenter.

Dhuluny is much more than an academic conference and wants to reach out to artists, dancers, storytellers, military lawyers and legal historians, interdisciplinary academics, research students, and more.

Other speakers and contributors welcome and invited that will provide an opportunity for truth telling and healing include:

  • Indigenous academics and non-Indigenous academics
  • those overviewing AIATSIS materials co-designed with Wiradyuri traditional owners about the period
  • leading Indigenous and non-Indigenous historians of the period
  • Wiradyuri community members and non-Indigenous Australians with ancestral ties to the main players involved in what many Wiradyuri people see as the Homeland Wars.

Register your interest as a presenter

Please email a 500 word abstract outlining your proposed contribution to the conference organisers by 30 April 2024 to dhulunyconference@csu.edu.au

In your abstract please include:

  • your preferred format of contribution (eg. 30 minute academic paper presentation, other presentation, artistic or dance work etc)
  • any interest you have in your presented paper and resultant manuscript being considered for publication in a book published after the conference
  • a photo
  • a 300 word biography.
