01 Jun: KINGSWOOD HOMETOWNS TOUR – THE CORDIAL FACTORY, GRENFELL

In what will hopefully become de rigueur at TCF is our first Sunday afternoon session.
And kicking off, in support of their new studio album ‘Home’, acclaimed Australian rock band KINGSWOOD will be rolling into town with their electric live show, ready to burn!
The “Hometowns” tour will see the band reach 100+ Australian tour dates, taking their customised tour bus ‘Peggy’ on the road to towns that haven’t been reached by nationally touring acts in over 40+ years. Record-breaking numbers for an act that is redefining the grit & heart that it takes to be a “working” musician today.

29 May: Info meeting: Photographing the region’s unique homegrown ‘vernacular’

The search is on to discover and photograph the region’s unique homegrown ‘vernacular’ architecture such as farm buildings and sheds. Vernacular architecture uses local materials and resources, it reflects local traditions and local skills and meets local needs.
Blayney, Cabonne and Orange councils are working together, under the Sustainable Collections Program, on a study to document the district’s historical rural sheds and outbuildings.
We’re encouraging residents and farmers in the area to get behind the project and assist us to identify items. This will result in photographic exhibitions to be held in the regional museums around the district.
