Over 300 participants will perform in a mega-concert this Saturday 1 April 5pm at the Orange Regional Conservatorium, 73a Hill Street, Orange.

Orange Regional Conservatorium invites the public to register for tickets to hear some of the best Australian repertoire, being performed by participants as young as 4 right up to 84 years.

ORC Concert organiser Samantha Bartholomeusz said the aim of the concert is to provide performance opportunities for all participants who rehearse each week in community music groups at the conservatorium.

“The music of classic Australian artists such as Crowded House and The Seekers, Australian film music and newly composed music will be featured,” said Ms Bartholomeusz. “We are also delighted to welcome a performance with didgeridoo and dance”.

ORC Director, Donna Riles said “this expanding annual concert is testament to the ORC’s Strategic Purpose, which is “to strengthen and enrich community by sharing the joy and transformative power of music”.

The ORC delivers programs to over 1900 community members, runs over 40 community music groups, delivers music programs in 21 schools on a weekly basis, and delights in hosting over 40 concerts by local, national, and international artists.
