The Arts OutWest Media Associates checked out the Charles Sturt University (CSU) Creative Hub and went to Infinity and beyond in the CSU Infinity Wall. Here one of the Arts OutWest Media Associates Carolyn Hide took headshots of both the Media Associates and staff of Arts OutWest. When in the studio space, it is impossible to tell where the ground meets the wall – until your feet feel the curve up the side and back walls.
This Infinity studio session was part of the Media Associates training where the Media Associates additionally:
- talked around the table with Arts OutWest Director Kylie Shead, Aboriginal Arts Development Officer Aleshia Lonsdale, and Projects and Communications Administration Officer Nicola Mason;
- played with their cameras in Carolyn Hide’s Challenges of Event Photography session; and
- shared images, experiences and ideas, and started planning for their group exhibition later in 2024 to coincide with the Arts OutWest 50-year Celebration in the group session led by Arts OutWest Arts and Health, Steven Cavanagh with Nicola Mason.
Thanks to CSU for the terrific venue and great food with catering by CSU Bathurst on-campus Pulse Cafe.
The Media Associates help document and tell stories of Arts and Cultural events and programs in the Arts OutWest area. Their terrific photos are shared with the Artists and organisers of the arts, health and cultural activities that they cover and can be seen throughout the Arts OutWest website and social media since the inception of the Media Associates program in 2019.
