Adaptation Online Workshops with Goldberg Aberline Studio
Ever wanted to contribute to a big public artwork? Now is your chance to help create an amazing inflatable sculpture in this year’s Sculpture by the Sea exhibition.
Bathurst Regional Art Gallery is working with Goldberg Aberline Studio (GAS) to create a giant inflatable sculpture for display at this year’s Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, and we are asking members of the Bathurst community to help!
The “Adaptation” project explores how collaboration, in the age of COVID-19, can happen online, in new and amazing ways.
GAS will work with four regional communities across NSW to create a collaborative sculpture for display on Tamarama Beach during the 2020 Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi. The work will then travel to Bathurst to be shared with the whole community.
During three free live, online, Creative Chill Session Workshops participants will develop designs for the artwork using a variety of methods to create abstract art. No experience necessary!
The workshops are a free and include the required materials, they go for approximately one and a half hours, the workshops are run on Zoom so you will need a computer, tablet or Smartphone and a space to work (could be your kitchen table) where you can see the device.
The workshops use a variety of techniques to help you have a fun, creative experience and use plenty of music which can be played through your device or on speakers.
The Adaptation workshops will be held on Tuesdays September 8, 15 and 22 at 10:30am.
Places are strictly limited, ages 18+ only and are open to all members of the Bathurst community.
