The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences offers regional workshops in collection management and curation for museums and collections. Applications close August 15.

The workshops are all undertaken on site at the Regional location of applicant organisation.

How to Conserve your Collection workshop

Designed for Regional NSW and Western Sydney collecting organisations that maintain a community-owned collection accessible to the public. A fee applies and application is through a competitive process. How to Curate your Collection workshop

Designed for Regional NSW and Western Sydney collecting organisations that maintain a community-owned collection accessible to the public. The workshop is for organisations that need help with basic skills in developing exhibitions, identifying significant objects, writing statements of significance. A fee applies and application is through a competitive process. Workshops are delivered by a MAAS curator at a Regional or Western Sydney location. For further information, see the workshop selection criteria and application form at

How to Manage your Collection workshop

A one-day registration workshop designed for Regional and Western Sydney organisations that maintain a community-owned collection accessible to the public. The workshop is delivered at either a Regional or Western Sydney location and is suitable for organisations that need help with skills fundamental to managing their collection. The workshop will cover cataloguing objects, acquisition process; borrowing and lending; storage; movement and handling objects.  A fee applies and application is through a competitive process.
