Not your average AGM

Our AGM road trips are legendary. Join the bus or meet us in PARKES on Sunday May 28 for catch ups, seeing the cultural sights and a free lunch!

This is not your average Annual General Meeting. We go to a different council area each year – an excuse to show off the arts and cultural successes and plans of that place. And an excuse to catch up, network and enjoy a nice lunch together. All welcome!

Join the bus trip

For those in the east of the region who don’t want to drive (or who just love a boisterous game of eye-spy) we’re taking a mini bus. Collecting in Bathurst and Orange. FREE. Aiming for departure from Bathurst around 9am, returning around 5pm. Limited places so book early. RSVP to artsoutwest@csu.edu.au or 6338 4657.

Board election: general membership nominations now open

The Arts OutWest Board of directors has 12 appointed members (11 from local councils, one from Charles Sturt University) and three positions elected from the membership. These three positions are voted on at the AGM.

Current elected representatives are Bronwyn Giovenco (accountant), Kylie Shead (creative producer, Local Stages at BMEC) and Libby Oldham (director Jayes Gallery, Molong). Libby has announced that she will retire from the Arts OutWest Board, and position of Chair, at the AGM. Bronwyn and Kylie have nominated to stand again. Election to these general membership positions is open to anyone in our geographic service area, who is a current financial member of Arts OutWest.

Note: There are plans to move to a skills based rather and representational board structure and make changes to the constitution accordingly. This process is underway and an EGM to vote on the changes is planned for August/September 2017 – before local government elections in September 2017. Any member of the Arts OutWest Board will serve only a four month term before these changes take effect.

To receive a nomination form for the general membership positions please contact Tracey Callinan, executive director Arts OutWest on 6335 6589 or tcallinan@artsoutwest.csu.au or artsoutwest@csu.edu.au

Nominations are now open. Nominations close 19 May 2017.
