National Contemporary Jewellery Award 2018

The National Contemporary Jewellery Award is Griffith Regional Art Gallery’s flagship biennial acquisitive award. Celebrating 30 years. Entries are now open. 

There are 3 prize categories in the 2018 National Contemporary Jewellery Award competition:

  • National Contemporary Jewellery Award – a $6,000 acquisitive award, sponsored by Griffith City Council. This category is open to any artist who has been a resident of Australia for the 12 months immediately preceding the NCJA.
  • Riverina Area Design Excellence Award – a $1,000 acquisitive award, sponsored by Griffith City Council. This category is open to any artist who has been a resident of the Riverina for the 12 months immediately preceding the NCJA.
  • Sturt Artist in Residence Award – a residency at Sturt Australian Contemporary Craft and Design Centre, Mittagong. including stipend and materials allowance (as specified), provision of studio space, accommodation, and other assistance. This category is open to any artist who has been a resident of Australia for the 12 months immediately preceding the NCJA.

First round entries must be received by 5pm, Friday 6th July 2018.

Acquisitions from the award, now in its 30th year, will develop the National Contemporary Jewellery Collection.
