Local speakers and projects in ARTLANDS

ARTLANDS DUBBO (October 27-30), the national regional arts conference and festival, features lots of arts practitioners and workers from the NSW Central West. The full program has been announced, and as well as locals, it includes well-known national and international speakers and artists.

Speakers, presenters and artists from our region include:

  • Arts OutWest’s Tracey Callinan moderating a panel on Arts as a Transformative Tool for Peoples’ Health
  • Bathurst theatre-maker Adam Deusien taking part in a panel discussing Staying Local and Having a Career: Young Regional Artists in NSW
  • Arts OutWest’s Christine McMillan conducting hands-on Layers of Arts and Health: Print Workshop
  • Bathurst Regional Art Gallery Curator Sarah Gurich taking part in a panel discussion More then Roads, Rates and Rubbish: Arts Projects in Local Government
  • Canowindra/Cowra artist Phoebe Cowdry on the panel Inspiring Communities with Science
  • an Artists in Communities workshop with theatre director Patrick Nolan
  • Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre manager, Stephen Champion, in a forum Beyond the Limits: Regional Theatre in the National Landscape
  • Bradley Hammond, Arts and Health Curator at Orange Regional Gallery and Tracey Callinan on an panel discussing Art in Hospitals: Local Arts responses to NSW Regional Hospital Redevelopment
  • Lingua Franca Dance & Physical Theatre present their work Unsustainable Behaviour in two performances on Friday and Saturday evenings
