Interactive Art Program for People Living with Dementia and their Carers

Filed : Arts & Health, Local and industry news, Projects .

The group will talk about art works and then make art works that relate to these discussed art works. Materials used will promote movement and response to works.

Each Group will have 4 Participants with Dementia.

The art program is inspired by the Australia National Gallery Art and Dementia Outreach Program.  Participants do not need to have any previous art experience. The carers are also invited to participate.

The program has been shown to increase well being by building connections between group members and valuing the input of participants.
