Inland Sea of Sound Festival launched
Inland Sea of Sound, Bathurst’s boutique music festival returns on 4 and 5 November 2016 with a new location and a stellar line up of artists.
Mayor of Bathurst Cr Gary Rush said the festival this year moves to Reid-Sulman Park at Mount Panorama-Wahluu with the iconic location providing a perfect backdrop for the two day event.
“We have signed Kate Miller-Heidke and the Black Sorrows with Vika and Linda Bull as our headline artists and both these acts are sure to attract music fans from across the region. Mikelangelo & The Black Sea Gentlemen, Tullara Connors, Street Warriors will take to the stage at the November event. Victor Valdes who was a highlight at last year’s festival has confirmed he will be back again this year.
“The program will also feature local performers including Smith & Jones, The Orient Royal Mail Band, Matt Boylan-Smith and band and the Chloe and Jason Roweth Band.
“Local emerging artists selected through the Local Emerging Artist Program (LEAP) also get a chance to take to the festival stage and the audition process for these talented youngsters is currently underway.
“Along with the new location, the festival will showcase local food and wine, feature artisan markets and a new attraction, the free Eat-Play-Craft area that will offer arts and crafts workshops and activities for children,” Cr Rush said.
