Yan, Tan, Tethera

Tue February 12 - Sun February 24

Free

February 12 – 24. Hours: 10-5 weekdays & 10-4 weekends. Opening Reception: Friday February 15th from 5.30pm.

Yan, Tan, Tethera is a joint exhibition from Hannah Orrock and Maria Shaw which explores the symbolism of animals in dreams. In this exhibition we look to develop a playful dialog between the observed (the animals captured within the dream) and the observer (audience).

Orrock’s paintings explore the interfaces between notions of the wild and the domestic realms in the collective imagination as well as the relationships between the bush and the city in Australian history and contemporary culture. Animals inhabit much of Orrock’s work and act as wry observers of human foibles and concerns.

Both Artists will be in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition so pop in and meet these exciting young artists.
