Readers & Writers Festival: Oral History Workshop

Learn how to capture memories and recollections of the past with this practical oral history workshop.

Join Louise Darmody and Andrew Host for this one day workshop where they explain the importance of oral history, demonstrate use of equipment and suitable recording environments, teach pre-interviewing and interviewing skills as well as best practice protocols and copyright. Louise Darmody is the principal of Sound Memories, an award-winning oral history and audio documentary-making firm established in 2002. Andrew Host is Manager of Studio Data and CD Makers. He is a professional sound recordist specialising in oral history.
