Japanese Shibori (stitching) Indigo Dyeing Workshop

Experience the delight of using a simple running stitch to create a design, which is then compressed, material dyed, resulting in your own individual design with artist Maureen Locke-Maclean.
Maureen is a Textile Fibre Artist & Educator specialising in Japanese design methods and dyeing applications since 1986. Maureen has exhibited nationally and internationally particularly in Japan at the Cultural Festival of Edogawa-ku Tokyo and the Kusunoki Cultural Festival in Tokyo and featured in various newspapers and textile magazines. Natural Indigo is an ancient dye, commonly derived from the plant Indigofera Tinctoria.

Time: 10.00am to 4.00pm
Cost: $125.00 per person. Limited 10 people.
Location: ANOINT Lodge 33, cnr Camp & Burrangong Streets, Grenfell NSW
