Maureen Locke-Maclean Textile Fibre Artist & Educator specialising in Japanese design methods and dyeing applications since 1986. Natural Indigo is an ancient dye, commonly derived from the plant Indigofera Tinctoria.
Maureen has exhibited nationally and internationally particularly in Japan at the Cultural Festival of Edogawa-ku Tokyo and the Kusunoki Cultural Festival in Tokyo and featured in various newspapers and textile magazines.
Workshop result: Indigo Dyed cloth that can be used for sewing into a scarf, garment, quilt, cushion cover, wall hanging each uniquely different.
