Apply now for ‘Access for Regional Writers’ Grants

Access for Regional Writers Grants are awarded by Writing NSW to help writers in regional NSW access professional development. Regional writers in any genre may apply for a travel grant of $300 to help them participate in an approved professional development event such as a workshop or seminar designed to further their writing or career skills.
Previous grant recipients include writers fro areas such as Lismore, Tamworth, Wagga Wagga, Mudgee and Dubbo. They used their travel funds to attend professional development activities at Yellamundie National First Peoples Playwrighting Festival, New England Writer’s Centre, Hunter Writers centre and Writing NSW
These grants are offered by Writing NSW with developed funding from Create NSW
Funding Available: up to 5 travel grants of $300 each (plus GST) per round.
Round 1 opening date: 4 June 2018. Round 1 closing date: 17 June 2018 (for project period 1 July 2018 – 31 December 2018)
Round 2 Opening date: 19 November 2018. Round 2 closing date: 2 December 2018 (For project period: 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2019
How To Apply: Applications must be submitted online through the Create NSW Smarty Grants System by midnight on the closing date. you will need a smarty grants login.
