Auditions: Lithgow Wellbeing Cabaret

Sat July 27

No cost

The show will be held at the Lithgow Sate Mine on October 12 and produced by local theatre and music production company, Trybal Productions.

It will focus on understanding the lived experiences of Lithgow residents who have lived and suffered with mental health.

Auditions are set to commence at 12pm and anyone is invited to come along. It will be a fun afternoon and will take people through plenty of stories and emotion.

There will also an opportunity to develop as performers and creators under the guidance of director Katrina Douglas, music director Peter Kennard and theatre and video designer Sean Bacon.

Local mental health providers have been working closely with the project to ensure stories being told are accurate and relevant to the experience of Lithgow.

The environment will be a safe place to explore the challenging subjects and the show is to be a testament to the resourcefulness, resilience and compassion of the Lithgow community.

This show will demonstrate that through creativity and respect we can go a long way to making our community a safer and more nurturing place to call home.

People who wish to be involved are invited to RSVP to James Daley on 0484 872 382.

Supported by Arts OutWest, funded by Wentworth Healthcare.
