2019 Mudgee Readers’ Festival

To celebrate its tenth year of events, the Mudgee Readers’ Festival has put together a dynamic, fun and thoughtful program to delight readers of all ages.
The Festival combines a love of stories with the best of the region’s food and wine and offers a great mix of free and ticketed events.
Have a decadent four course dinner with Mike Munro or a Long Lazy Lunch with Rosalie Ham.
Enjoy coffee and breakfast with Benjamin Law and then share stories with Finishing School Collective.
Compete in an Australian Poetry Slam heat.
Laugh and cry with Queerstories.
Unearth stories from across the Central West in Homegrown Stories.
MRF Morning Yoga will stretch your body.
Blind Wines, Blind Books will challenge you to pair local wines with books from our programmed authors.
High Tea from A Basket by the Door will provide an intimate afternoon with Central West food writer Sophie Hansen.
Chris Hammer will share the story behind Scrublands, the book that our whole community has been reading care of the One Book One Community initiative.
Mudgee Zine Makers will reveal a new story of Wiradjuri culture with special guest Kiara Harris and Uncle Dick Carney and Aunty Ruth Carney will launch their book A Little Piece of Heaven.
Mudgee Young Readers’ Festival will commence with Trivia: From Page to Screen on Friday 9 August and continue through the main Festival weekend with bookmaking workshops, a silent reading party with Will Kostakis, and Sunday Story-time with Ursula Dubosarsky, author of The Terrible Plop.
