Calling for Aboriginal artists
Exhibition opportunities are now open at our Kew-Y-Ahn Aboriginal Gallery near Lithgow. And not just for painters – also jewellers, weavers, textile artists, potters, wood carvers and more.
Are you Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander? Do you live in the NSW Central West? Do you want to sell your artwork? Take your arts career to the next stage?
Arts OutWest are currently looking for artists to exhibit and sell work at our Kew-Y-Ahn Aboriginal Art Gallery at Hartley Historic Site. The gallery, a joint initiative with National Parks and Wildlife Service, sells arts products made by Aboriginal artists and craftspeople, including:

|Cards||Art photography||Textiles & clothing|
|Prints||Handmade giftware||Ceramics & pottery|
Traditional through to contemporary works exhibited – all styles welcome. Three rooms of gallery space. Secure display cabinets for small pieces. Open 6 days a week. Set your own prices, get paid for your work.
Through our Aboriginal Arts Development program we also support Aboriginal musicians, film makers, dancers, actors and performers, writers, sharers of traditional culture and others in the creative industries. We offer:
- Exhibition opportunities in the region, in Sydney and elsewhere in the state
- Support developing your brand, your business plan and your professional practice
- Workshops in business development, art form development and marketing
- Advocacy and advice from an experienced Aboriginal artist with support from some of the country’s most respected Aboriginal arts practitioners
