Henry Lawson Festival of Arts: Verse & Short Story Competitions are now open
The Verse and Short Story competition is a highly regarded literary element of the 2019 Henry Lawson Festival. Judging is by impartial, highly regarded authors and performers.
There are multiple classes for various ages and abilities in both verse and short story. The winning work is published in an anthology which can be purchased from the coordinator for $25 including postage. The annual Short Story and Verse Competition closes at the end of March each year.
- Closing date – 29th March 2019
- Judging – April – May 2019
- Announcement of Winners – End of May 2019
- Awards Ceremony – Saturday evening 8th June 2019. Tickets to this event will be available closer to the date

Presentations will be made on the Saturday evening Awards ceremony.
